Meet Emma Mendez
Founder of the ACS Vocal Academy

The Founder of ACS Vocal Academy (Emma Mendez) grew up in Handsworth (Birmingham) where, at the age of 16, she worked for Pato Banton at the Muzik Links (Custard Factory). This was the first of many community music inititives around Birmingham she attended. She gained many of the skills that now serve her in running the music Academy today. These local schemes seeked to intervene in localised and, escalating street violence and gun crime amongst Birmingham's young people. She went onto University and studied Music and Professional Practice and received a 1st in her studies. Meanwhile Emma was working as a youth worker and mentor with Young Disciples Ltd (Lozells) Birmingham. She danced at B.E.A.T and was inspired by the initiatives of local community groups and organisations that rooted the community.

Her experiences with these organisations helped her to aspire much higher in life and achieve her own successes, to empower a generation of inspirational youth through music.

Emma Mendez launched the Anyone Can Sing Vocal Academy based on her extensive knowledge of vocal training and invaluable experiences as a vocal tutor. She has built and established the Anyone Can Sing Vocal Academy as one of the best in Birmingham.

Emma is also an Artist in her own right. She performs by the alias, Iesea Mendez. She has separated her business name from artist name to give herself an alternative identity to the name established as the business woman. Follow her progress on the ACS student page.
